Fri Feb 26, 2021: Like clockwork, it looks like March is launching us into our cooler season after a hot weekend. Some unsealed Shire roads are closed; obey any signage. There are still some “water on the road” warning signs on some roads. We are not expecting any rain in the immediate vicinity, but be aware that any rain conditions further away can impact water crossings over a large area.
WILUNA ROAD - CONDITION NOT KNOWN AT PRESENT Partly sealed. Fine for all vehicles, obey any road closure signs. Unsealed sections can be a bit “slushy” with deep gravel, we suggest driving slower than normal and be extra alert. There are fuel services in Wiluna.
LANDOR ROAD -CONDITION NOT KNOWN AT PRESENT The roads to Mt Augustus and Carnarvon are partly sealed. Obey any road closure signs. Road has reputation for “doing tyres” - carry spares. There are no fuel services until Mt. Augustus / Carnarvon.
